56 – Spock’s Brain

Summary

A strange woman beams aboard the Enterprise and takes Spock’s brain back to her home planet. This obviously angers Kirk tremendously, and he and McCoy take Spock’s mindless body to the planet to retrieve his brain before he dies.

Commentary

OK I have no idea what they were thinking here, but this is perhaps the worst season premiere of any series in the history of television. The dialogue in this episode was horrible, and the acting was atrocious. I can’t think of any single reason to even see this one. I wish there were a way to go back in time and make sure this episode never aired.
