62 – Day of the Dove

Summary

The Enterprise and a Klingon ship have trouble with some kind of alien entity which forces them to fight each other. In their battles, however, nobody is critically injured, and all survive to fight again.

Commentary

Another average effort from this series. But it does have a lot in common with the Voyager episode in which the Hirogen take over the Holodeck and force the crew to fight each other and them in endless battles. But the story itself is rather bland.

Of Note

Originally, Kor was supposed to be in this episode, but the actor was busy filming something else at the time. So they changed the character to Kang and Michael Ansara played him. Ansara played Kang a few other times as well, even in other Star Trek series.
