20 – Oasis

Summary

An alien visiting the Enterprise tells Captain Archer about an abandoned space ship from which he could scavenge for some supplies. But when they land near the ship and begin to investigate it, they find out the alien was telling the truth that the ship wasn’t completely lifeless.

Commentary

I liked the interaction with Trip and the girl on the planet, and the mystery surrounding the survivors was pretty interesting. I think the payoff and the climax were a bit dull, and I would have wanted a better ending. But with this series, I’ve gotten used to the idea that you can’t have an interesting story with a good ending. Most of the time, in fact, we get lame stories and lame endings.
