67 – The Empath

Summary

Kirk, Spock and McCoy are trapped in some kind of alien laboratory with an empathic alien, who can take their pains away from them.

Commentary

Yet another mediocre episode. You can tell that the budgets had been cut dramatically on these episodes by now, so they were limited to performing on a stage with minimal props and backgrounds. But what bothers me more than that is how unimaginative the stories have become in this 3rd season. It’s sad to see it end like this. This particular episode had some potential, but it sure seemed to miss it.
