61 – North Star

Summary

Archer, Tucker, and T’Pol visit a planet that seems to be based on 1800s Earth. They find out the planet is populated by a small group of real humans who are really from Earth. How they arrived there is a complete mystery.

Commentary

Oh boy. This was bad. It starts out OK, but then it just becomes a filler episode with all kinds of plot holes and non-interest. It seemed a lot like a cross between the Voyager episode “The 37’s” and a random episode of Quantum Leap.

After being on the planet for 300 years, you’d think the humans would have developed some kind of technology. It would have been more interesting if they had been there for 300 years but because of some kind of time problem, they think they’ve only been there for 20 years or something like that. If they want to do some episode like this, at least get creative with it. Sheesh.
