6 – Terra Nova

Summary

About 70 years before this episode, Earth lost contact with a remote colony of humans. Captain Archer takes a few of his crew with him down to the surface of the planet to find out what happened to the colonists and why they abandoned the city.

Commentary

Here is yet another average effort from this series. There’s really nothing here that we haven’t seen before. It’s not a bad episode, really, but it just doesn’t really stand out like some of the others have. Plus the story is a bit predictable.

The dialogue is unusual and awkward. Maybe that’s to be expected, since these people have been away from Earth for so long, but it just sounds weird. It was hard to get used to.
