47 – The Immunity Syndrome

Summary
Starfleet commands Kirk to go to sector 39J, where they will search for the Intrepid, a Vulcan ship which has been destroyed. Kirk and crew find out a giant amoeba is most likely to blame over its destruction.
Commentary
I would probably like this episode a little more if it wasn’t so strange. The drama is OK, but the execution is pretty weird.
Of Note
It’s weird that Mr. Spock could sense the deaths of 400 Vulcans from many light years away. As far as I remember, this particular skill is not mentioned at any other point in this franchise.
