39 – Journey to Babel

Grade: B+

Summary

The Enterprise is hosting many Federation ambassadors from several different worlds. Things go terribly wrong as one of the ambassadors is murdered and Spock’s father is under suspicion.

Commentary

This is a fine episode and an excellent addition to the Star Trek universe. There are plenty of very interesting insights to Spock and his family and life as a half-human/half-Vulcan. McCoy has a few great moments in this episode as well.

Of Note

This is the first episode where we meet Spock’s parents.
