Commentary

What a thrilling finish to the Star Wars saga! This final movie answered almost all of the important questions, and it showed that the 3rd film in a trilogy doesn’t have to be a let-down. The special effects are awesome, the story is thrilling, and the characters are developed even further in this universe. Lucas saved some of his best stuff for this film, such as the final duel between Luke and Vader, the Emperor’s powers, and the death of Yoda. And who can forget the now infamous Leia Slave Outfit?

Lucas’ humor shows through a bit with the Ewoks. Realistically, does it make sense that a bunch of teddy bears with sticks should be able to defeat an “entire legion of the Emperor’s best troops”? Come on, that’s a bit of a stretch.

Though this is the last film of the Star Wars saga, there may be more films or TV shows to come. Lucas has said he won’t do any more Star Wars movies, but that doesn’t mean nobody else would ever make any. Let’s hope there are more adventures.
