49 – Return to Tomorrow

Grade: B

Return to Tomorrow (1968) on IMDb

Three disembodied aliens, who live in glass-like receptacles, ask Captain Kirk for help in transporting them off their dead planet. The only way to do this is if they are allowed to possess the bodies of the people who beamed down to the surface.

Another strange episode, but it wasn’t too terrible. It gets kind of cheesy when the aliens take over the bodies of Kirk, Spock and Dr. Mulhall. Drama ensues when the alien possessing Mr. Spock decides he doesn’t want to stick to the plan.

Of Note

Diana Muldaur shows up in Next Generation as Dr. Pulaski.
